I have tried all the recommendations here and everywhere else and the bottom line is until, or if, this game is re-released in 1080p HD like the older Serious Sam's were, you are going to have issues with it.

Hi, ive got EXACTLY the same problem, I can launch RTCW MP no problem (apart from the fact there are no servers so its probably just used as a LAN partly game) and when I do the game creates a wolfconfig_mp file that I can mes around with sto set the reslution of my laptop, BUT, when it comes to running the SP, no matter how, steam, the local file and even going through the MP version and selecting SP, the game crashes just after the first pop up and its attempt to go full screen, I'm on windows 10 also but thats not a problem for my gaming pc which also runs it and starts RCTW no problem, and the problem is that I dont think it gets far enough into lauching to create a wolfgonfig file to delete as it doesnt appear atall in the RTCW directory, I tried copying the file from my PC (Adjusted for my laptops screen) and all that changes is the fact that my screen resolution doesnt change before it crashes so I'm completely stuck, my drivers are all up to date and everything, running on and intel i-gpu if that helps. I messed around with the settings and now the game won't open.
